Wasn't sure about this movie at first. Objectively, it's a bad movie; pretty cringe, definitely lowish budget.
Main girl is kinda boring and the main man is creepy af. Buuuut, the ending turns everything around. (No spoilers here!)
I almost liked it by the end.

This movie was different than I expected. Went in for comedy and social commentary about the tastes of (white)
America, and came out having seen a touching family drama about identity and what it means for media to be "black".
It was still a funny movie, of course.

It's a bit slow at times (and the sex scene was about 10 minutes too long), but I really liked this one.
A heist, a cat-and-mouse, lesbians, a campy slasher villian, an incompetent, unliked male side-kick, and
(spoilers) a happy ending. What's there not to love? You should watch this throwback thriller. It's free on Tubi.

Rotten Tomatoes doesn't like this movie, but I thought it was great. (In a junk food kind
of way, but I'd watch it again so...) The casting is pretty spot-on.
